Loughborough University is pleased to host the 10th International Symposium in Computer Science in Sports (ISCSS 2015). The symposium series is sponsored by: The International Association of Computer Science in Sports. Previous successful symposia were held in Cologne (1997), Vienna (1999), Cardiff (2001), Barcelona (2003), Hvar (2005), Calgary (2007), Canberra (2009), Shanghai (2011) and Istanbul (2013).
Loughborough is a town with a population of around 60,000. It is situated at the heart of England and is linked directly with the rest of the country by motorway, rail and flights. Junction 23 of the M1 motorway is less than two miles away; London is one-and-a-half hours away by train, Birmingham one hour and Manchester and Leeds around two hours. East Midlands Airport is only 7 miles away.
Loughborough University has a reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Loughborough is 13th place out of 123 UK universities in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015 and is ranked 9th among universities in England for research intensity.

Loughborough University boasts an excellent central location, convenient for rail, road and air travel.
Loughborough mainline station has regular intercity services from London St Pancras, taking under 90 minutes. St Pancras is also the London terminus for Eurostar, making rail travel to Loughborough convenient from continental Europe. There are also direct trains to Loughborough
from Nottingham and Sheffield, and most major cities in Britain can be reached with just one change of train.
The "Sprint" bus service runs every 15 minutes from outside the station to the University Campus, taking 19 minutes to the furthest part of the campus. Taxis are also available outside the station. For train times please visit: www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk
The popular "Sprint" bus operated by Kinchbus, travels between the University campus, Loughborough town centre and railway station every 15 minutes until 6:00pm (but less frequently at weekends). For longer distance travel, National Express, operate a coach service to Loughborough, which is often cheaper but slower and less frequent than the train services. Timetables may be found at www.nationalexpress.com
Loughborough University is just 8 miles from East Midlands Airport and convenient for Birmingham International Airport via the M42, or London Luton Airport via the M1.
